Paper Towers

I put it as a challenge to myself to build as tall of a tower as I could out of one sheet of paper. It got interesting pretty fast. The towers went from 4' to 5' to 6', and finally with a lot of design work, to 9' exactly, surpassing the previous world record of 8' 11 1/2". If anyone else wants to try, I invite you.

Rules

  1. Only one sheet of 8 1/2" by 11" paper may be used
  2. Up to 4 feet of standard Scotch tape can be used for adhesive, but not to add height
  3. It must be freestanding (no anchors with tape or people holding it)
  4. The height is measured from the ground to the highest point, not from the base to the highest point
